Grant Giving and Impact

From 2011 - 2023, The Primerica Foundation granted more than $16 million to nonprofit organizations serving low-to moderate income populations in the state of Georgia. Over $1 million was granted to national nonprofits and nonprofits in other states.

Grant Giving

Grants are sourced by research and collaboration with community partners. Primerica corporate employees provide input into grant recommendations through the annual Employee Choice Vote. All grant recipients are vetted before funding and there is no guarantee of multi-year funding, some grants are one-time only grants.

Critical Human Needs

The first step to self-sufficiency is meeting basic human needs. Grants to nonprofits in the area of Critical Human Needs delivers programs to meet essential needs for populations who are homeless or one paycheck away from eviction, who are food-insufficient, who do not have access to healthcare, who may be fleeing abusive environments, or who are struggling with mental and substance abuse issues.

Grant Application Guidelines and Policies

The Primerica Foundation is a U.S. based 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization as determined by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). The Foundation was established and began grant funding in 2011.

Grant proposals to The Primerica Foundation are by invitation only and funding may only be made to qualifying U.S. based nonprofit charitable organizations with 501 (c)(3) tax exemption status as determined and in compliance with the IRS. Nonprofit organizations selected for funding from The Primerica Foundation must pass required due diligence and have a record of success in the community.

Priority funding consideration is given to nonprofits and programs which support the mission of the Foundation.

The Primerica Foundation does not provide funding related to advertising, events, telethons, benefits or general fundraising activities. The Foundation does not fund religious or fraternal organizations, mission trips, individuals, political causes, campaigns or candidates, or memorials. The Foundation does not fund requests deemed as "pass-through" funding.

Charitable contributions and grants may not be given or requested by Primerica or The Primerica Foundation as a condition of or to influence a business decision or be made for the benefit of any one individual.
